The Labour Court rejected Piotr Pienszke's appeal, leaving in place the €2,000 compensation awarded by a Rights Commissioner in his working-time case against MCR Personnel Limited. The determination was signed on 15 August 2011. Pienszke challenged the compensation amount and the dismissal of his complaint that he had not received adequate notice of a requirement to work overtime. The Court found that he could refuse overtime and sometimes did, so the additional hours were voluntary and MCR Personnel Limited did not breach the notice requirement. It considered the original compensation adequate.
