The Labour Court determined that Pinewood Construction Ltd must pay Algimantas Lastauskas €7,300 after the company failed to carry out a Rights Commissioner’s decision. The determination was signed on 18 November 2005. It required €2,000 for failing to pay annual leave for the 2004/2005 leave year, €300 for failing to pay the Sunday work premium and €5,000 compensation for a breach of section 15 of the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997. No appeal had been brought against the Rights Commissioner’s decision within the time limit. Lastauskas was represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union.
