The Labour Court increased Sonya McGee’s award against Bradley Construction Ltd from €1,000 to €3,000 in a determination dated 24 March 2005. McGee had appealed a Rights Commissioner decision over Sunday premium, annual leave and public holiday pay. The company agreed that money was due under each heading. The Court extended the time limit to cover McGee’s claim after accepting that correspondence between the parties gave reasonable cause for the delay. It found the Act had been contravened and noted that payslips had not been provided and signed timesheets had not been retained.
