The Labour Court rejected Services Industrial Professional Technical Union's appeal over holiday pay for an unnamed part-time school bus driver employed by Bus Eireann. The determination was signed on 26 May 2000. The union argued the driver should have received holiday pay before taking two weeks' leave. Bus Eireann said annual-leave pay was given at the end of the school year. The Court agreed with the Rights Commissioner's analysis and affirmed the earlier decision that the employer was not in breach of the Working Time Act, 1997.
