The Labour Court set pay and overtime terms for workers at Swords Packaging And Logistics Limited in a determination dated 16 January 2008, implementing its earlier recommendation, LCR18807. Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought implementation of the recommendation. The terms set starting pay at €8.85 an hour, rising to €9.65 after 12 months and €10 after five years, effective from 1 January 2007. The Court also recommended a 25% premium if night work arose. Weekday hours over 39 and the first four Saturday hours were to be paid at time and a half; other Saturday hours and all Sunday hours at double time.
