The Labour Court set weekly pay rates and workplace terms for Clearstream Technologies Ltd. employees in a determination dated 9 November 2004, following a dispute with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. From 1 October 2004, the rates were €300 at the start, €320 after one year, €340 after two years and €360 after three years. They applied for 12 months, and operatives already earning more than €360 a week kept their personal differential above the three-year rate. The Court also directed Clearstream to reinstate its sick pay scheme from 1 August 2004 and implement the earlier recommendation on shift premiums. It called for the company to review service pay after three years, maintain its existing safety, health, welfare and pension practices, and restore the bonus scheme when performance improved, with individual and company targets made clear. The company was also to update and distribute its anti-bullying, harassment, grievance and disciplinary policies.
