The Labour Court determined that Greenstar Materials Recovery Limited (Formerly Nobel Waste Disposal Limited) should reduce basic working hours to 39 a week and introduce pension contributions of 4% from the company and 2% from employees. The determination was dated 25 September 2003. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought the determination after the dispute remained unresolved and the company had not fully accepted and implemented an earlier recommendation. The determination also addressed overtime, grievance and disciplinary procedures, and dispute resolution.
