The Labour Court upheld a finding that Dublin Institute Of Technology had not discriminated against a worker in appointing a Head of Library Services, disallowing the union’s appeal in a decision dated 2 November 1999. The Court found no sufficient differences between the candidates’ qualifications, experience and responsibilities to justify a finding of discrimination. It also recommended that the interview board keep records of its procedures and markings in future.
