The Labour Court found that the Contract Cleaning Industry Joint Labour Committee and Employment Regulation Orders did not apply to Krzysztof Kornas, who worked for Clean & Glean Limited. The decision was signed on 27 October 2010. Kornas said his work included cleaning common areas in apartment blocks and offices. Clean & Glean said it provided facilities support services and employed him as a caretaker. The Court found that the company's services fell outside the ERO's definition of contract cleaning. It also noted that the ERO had no separate rate of pay or occupational classification for caretakers.
