A hospital successfully defended a health care assistant’s complaints of race discrimination and victimisation in an Equality Tribunal decision dated 25 November 2015. The assistant said the hospital treated him differently over a sexual harassment allegation, sick leave, anonymous letters and other workplace matters, and victimised him after he raised concerns about discrimination. The Equality Officer found that an investigation cleared him of the allegation and removed it from his personnel file. The officer also found no evidence that the hospital singled him out over the letters or treated him adversely in response to his discrimination concerns.
