The Equality Tribunal found that Blueprint Construction Limited in Liquidation did not discriminate against Aivaras Berzinis on race grounds in relation to his conditions of employment. The decision was dated 8 November 2010. Berzinis had also withdrawn complaints about other conditions, training and dismissal. Berzinis said he was paid below the construction industry agreement rate and less than an Irish colleague doing the same job. The Equality Officer said pay could not be considered under a conditions-of-employment complaint. Berzinis was not pursuing an equal-pay claim because he could not name a comparator. His earlier complaints, including the pay complaint, had been resolved and he received wage arrears.
