The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Mirian Coraly Rioja Iriarte’s complaint against Dublin One Hotel after she failed to attend the hearing. In a decision dated 11 August 2025, the WRC also determined that she had not been discriminated against on race grounds or victimised. The complaint was brought under the Employment Equality Act and appeared on its face to concern alleged bullying. The hotel attended and was ready to rebut the allegations; the adjudication officer found Iriarte had been notified of the hearing by email.
