The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Gaspar Cristian €2,637 for unpaid annual holiday pay, €1,760.62 for public holiday entitlements and €704.25 for one week’s pay in lieu of notice. The WRC found the claims well-founded after The Roadhouse En Route Limited did not attend the hearing. In a decision dated 22 August 2025, the WRC found that Cristian, a restaurant manager, had received no paid holidays or public holiday payments during his employment. He claimed the entitlements and notice pay after the business closed and his employment ended.
