WRC rejects Fagans cleaner’s minimum-notice complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Bluewave Taverns Limited T/A Fagans did not breach minimum-notice rules when Julie Aspin’s employment ended. Adjudication Officer Eileen Campbell’s decision was dated 18 August 2025. Aspin claimed she had not received the required notice. The employer said it paid one week’s notice in lieu, and Aspin accepted she received the payment but said she had wanted to work the week. The officer found she was entitled to one week’s notice, which had been paid, and dismissed the complaint as not well-founded.
