WRC rejects worker’s race discrimination complaint over recruitment

The WRC found a worker’s race discrimination complaint over a recruitment process was not well founded in a decision dated 25 August 2025. She said an employer required an extra registration document because of her name, while the employer said it was an administrative error that also affected another candidate. The adjudicator found the other candidate, who had a European or Irish-sounding name, received the same request. The worker’s complaint failed.
