The Workplace Relations Commission awarded barista Yunji Choi €405 on each of two complaints against her employer, The Hot Donut, in a decision dated 17 June 2025. The adjudicator upheld Choi’s complaints that she had not received a written statement of her employment terms and had received no reasoned reply to her request for more predictable and secure working conditions. The Hot Donut did not attend the hearing, and the adjudicator accepted Choi’s evidence.
