The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Balint Nogrady €25,000 after finding that Locumlink Limited /Locumlink Associates technically unfairly dismissed him by ending shift bookings. It also awarded him €300 after finding that the agency failed to provide a statement of employment terms. The decision was dated 19 August 2025.
Nogrady alleged that the agency stopped booking him after incidents at client hospitals, without a procedure or appeal, and that he had never received a contract or statement of terms. The agency did not attend either hearing or provide evidence. The officer said liability for unfair dismissal normally rests with the end-user hospitals, but the claim against the named respondent succeeded on a technical basis. Nogrady's unchallenged evidence that he had received no terms was accepted.
