WRC says merits were not decided in five complaints against Mulligans Pharmacy

The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) found five complaints by Deirdre Wallace against Mulligans Pharmacy not well founded after she was unable to give evidence at the hearing. The adjudicator said the pharmacy could not cross-examine her, so the merits were not decided. The decision was dated 23 October 2024. Wallace’s complaints concerned her employment terms, sick pay, equality, part-time work and short-notice shifts. She said her hours and roster were unpredictable, sick pay had been withheld, and her requests for light duties and other employment conditions were not handled fairly. The pharmacy said her relief role required flexibility and that it had addressed her requests and paid sick leave due.
