Laura Kilduff awarded €1,305 over missing employment terms

Laura Kilduff was awarded €1,305 after the Workplace Relations Commission found her employer, Claudine King, had failed to provide written details of her employment terms. The WRC decision was dated 24 October 2024. Both sides accepted that Kilduff had not received the required written statement of employment particulars. The adjudicator found the breach had continued for a long time and awarded the maximum amount considered appropriate. A second complaint about employment terms was also upheld, but no extra payment was ordered for it. The WRC also found a technical breach of annual leave rules because days were treated as paid leave without Kilduff requesting it. It found she suffered no loss and ordered no compensation for that breach. Her complaints about unfair dismissal, wages and other working-time entitlements were not well founded; one mobile staff complaint was withdrawn. A maternity-related complaint was outside the time limit, so its merits were not decided.
