The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Seamus Cronin’s complaint that Kerry Creameries Ltd failed to consult representatives over a proposed collective redundancy. Adjudication officer Patsy Doyle’s decision was dated 1 September 2025. Cronin alleged his representative was not properly consulted and that his redundancy was retaliation for complaints to the WRC. Kerry Creameries denied that the redundancies met the legal definition and said its outsourcing plan predated those complaints. Doyle found that seven milk tank drivers were made redundant, too few to constitute a collective redundancy in this case. Cronin’s separate unfair dismissal and victimisation complaints were withdrawn at the hearing.
