WRC rejects Grace Carberry’s payment of wages complaint after non-attendance

The Workplace Relations Commission found Grace Carberry’s payment of wages complaint against Metron Stores Limited t/a Iceland (in liquidation) not well founded. Adjudication Officer Elizabeth Spelman’s decision was dated 23 June 2025. Carberry alleged she had not received the full amount due. She did not attend either scheduled hearing and presented no supporting evidence; the respondent also did not attend the second hearing. The officer found Carberry had notice of the hearing and had not engaged despite the WRC’s efforts to contact her.
