The Workplace Relations Commission found Frank Enright’s penalisation complaint against Limerick City and County Council not well-founded in a decision dated 12 August 2025. Enright alleged reduced overtime and call-outs linked to earlier workplace complaints; the council denied penalising him and said he had been offered overtime. The WRC considered alleged events from 12 January to 13 July 2023. It found that Enright’s difficulties with completing Safe System of Work Plan forms did not amount to a protected act, and that he had not shown penalisation resulting from one. He withdrew two other complaints under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act at the hearing.
