WRC dismisses Carbunescu Dumitru’s minimum notice complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found Carbunescu Dumitru’s complaint against Crewit Resourcing Ltd. under the Minimum Notice & Terms of Employment Act, 1973, was not well founded. The decision was dated 2 August 2023. Mr Dumitru did not attend the hearing, while two witnesses for the respondent did. The WRC was satisfied he had been notified and had offered no explanation for his absence. As he did not attend, no evidence was presented in support of the claim; the WRC said the Act had not been contravened. The merits were not decided.
