The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Big Bear Construction Ltd to pay carpenter Rayan Miranda Botelho €800 after finding his complaint over unpaid wages and holiday pay well founded. The decision was dated 3 July 2023. Botelho said he was not paid for two days’ work or three days of annual leave. The company did not dispute that the pay was due. The WRC found the failure was an unauthorised deduction from wages and ordered payment within six weeks.
