The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) ordered Emex Software Limited to pay Aniko Knopp €6,250 net for each of two monthly wage complaints, and made further awards for unpaid wages, health insurance, birthday leave and annual leave. The decision was dated 5 July 2023.
Knopp, a Senior Sustainability and ESG Specialist, said she had received only part of her September pay and no pay for October or November 2022. Emex said financial difficulties had left it unable to raise capital and pay employees. The adjudicator found the health insurance contribution was part of her wages and that three days of annual leave remained unpaid.
The WRC also ordered €3,125 net for September pay, €578 net for two days of December pay, €2,750 net for health insurance contributions, €289 net for birthday leave and €865 compensation for annual leave. The pension contribution and expenses complaints were not well founded.
