The WRC did not recommend in favour of a worker who challenged the outcome of a Grade V interview at a public body, finding her allegation that information used in a review was false was not sustainable. Adjudication Officer Gaye Cunningham dated the recommendation 6 July 2023. The case concerned the worker's challenge to the outcome of an interview campaign and review.
The worker said interview notes did not reflect her answers and alleged that information given to the reviewer was false. The public body said the panel followed its recruitment process, used marking sheets and conducted a formal review. The reviewer said interviewers took contemporaneous notes and recorded their marks on that basis.
The officer noted that the worker did not dispute that the formal process was followed, but challenged its outcome. Her recollection did not tally with the interview notes. The officer said overturning the result would unduly interfere with the process and did not find in the worker's favour.
