The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Zulleon Ltd (In Liquidation) to pay Aaron Healy €4,396.73 for accrued annual leave and €2,500 compensation for a breach of working-time law. The decision was dated 4 May 2023.

Healy said he was made redundant in August 2022 and had not received payment for 19 days of unused annual leave or two weeks’ notice. The company’s finance manager had confirmed he was due €4,395.73 for the leave. The WRC also ordered the company to pay €4,166 for the unpaid notice.

The WRC found Healy entitled to a statutory redundancy lump sum, subject to his having been in insurable employment. It used gross weekly remuneration of €2,083 in calculating the entitlement, but the decision gives no final lump sum. An alternative unfair-dismissal complaint was found not well founded because the redundancy complaint had succeeded. Two duplicate complaints were withdrawn at the hearing.
