The Workplace Relations Commission found that Momentum Support had paid Alina Maria Dobos her full contractual notice entitlement, and dismissed two duplicate complaints under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Act 1973. The decision was dated 28 July 2023. Dobos accepted at the hearing that she had received one month’s pay in lieu of notice under her contract. The adjudication officer therefore found that the company had not contravened the Act. The two complaints sought relief under the same legislation and were treated as duplicates. Dobos also wanted to raise concerns about the manner and effect of her dismissal, but neither complaint form identified the relevant legislation. The WRC did not hear evidence on those allegations, so they were not decided.
