The Workplace Relations Commission found that Accenture Ireland did not breach the law by paying Rihards Valters for unused annual leave in the payroll after his employment ended. The decision was dated 12 May 2023. Valters said the payment should have been made sooner after he left the company. Accenture said it processed outstanding annual leave in the payroll one month after an employee’s departure. The adjudication officer said the Organisation of Working Time Act sets no deadline for paying outstanding annual leave. The full payment was made on 26 August 2022 and Valters accepted it. The WRC found the complaint not well founded, concluding that Accenture had paid all amounts due under its standard practice.
