The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Above Board Catering Limited to pay Anna Csernus €1,200 in compensation for a Payment of Wages Act breach and €500 for unpaid cesser pay when her employment ended. The decision was dated 9 May 2023. Csernus said she had not been paid correctly and was owed wages and annual leave pay. The company disputed her complaints in a written message but did not attend the hearing or provide records. The WRC found she had been hired on a full-time contract but received only part-time work, and that claimed wages and cesser pay remained unpaid. Cesser pay is compensation for annual leave that an employee has not taken when employment ends.
