WRC finds Inese Upeniece was not unfairly dismissed by nail clinic

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Inese Upeniece was not unfairly dismissed by Lorraine's Nail & Beauty Clinic. The decision was dated 25 November 2022. Ms Upeniece said the clinic dismissed her after she gave notice, telling her she did not need to work the notice period. The clinic said she had resigned and would be paid in full. The adjudication officer found that she submitted a resignation letter on 12 April 2022 and was paid up to her stated final day, 23 April. As she had not established that a dismissal occurred, the unfair-dismissal complaint was found not well founded.
