The Workplace Relations Commission found Máire Aherne was not penalised after raising safety concerns about school visits during Covid-19. Adjudication Officer Louise Boyle dismissed her complaint against the National Council For Special Education as not well founded. Aherne argued that a final written warning followed her safety complaint; the Council said it arose from her failure to follow a reasonable instruction. Boyle found objective reasons unrelated to the complaint and no penalisation.
