WRC awards Eileen O’Haire-O’Malley a redundancy lump sum

Eileen O’Haire-O’Malley won her redundancy claim against Peter Casserly William F. Semple & Company. The WRC awarded her a redundancy lump sum based on gross weekly pay of €782.58 and a Covid-19-related lay-off period from 16 April 2020 to 15 October 2021. The award is subject to her having been insured for all purposes under the Social Welfare Consolidation Acts. In a decision dated 6 September 2022, the adjudication officer said the calculation should account for the lay-off period. The respondent accepted that redundancy pay was due but had not paid it.
