WRC rejects bus driver’s claim for pay after two missed shifts

The WRC found a bus driver’s complaint over pay for two missed shifts not well founded. Adjudication Officer Jim Dolan dated the recommendation 21 November 2022. The driver said he believed his rest days had shifted after self-isolation and that he had told the company when he would return. The company said he was rostered to work on 2 and 3 April 2021 and had been marked absent. The officer preferred the company’s account, finding the driver’s position would create an unmanageable situation.
