The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Colin Smyth €1,154 in compensation after finding his wages complaint against Logicon Limited well founded. The decision was dated 22 November 2022. Smyth said he was paid a week in hand and was owed one week’s wages after leaving the company. Logicon said he had been paid for every week worked and that no illegal deduction had occurred. The adjudication officer found in Smyth’s favour because the company did not produce five payslips that could have disproved his claim, and considered his direct evidence.
