The Workplace Relations Commission found in favour of Bridie Duggan on three complaints against Glamford Limited after her job ended when the business ceased trading. In a decision dated 10 October 2022, it found she was entitled to statutory redundancy pay, compensation for a change to her employment terms, and six weeks’ statutory notice pay. The WRC ordered the company to pay €2,540.18 for failing to pay notice, which it treated as wages, and €423.36 compensation for the employment terms breach. It also allowed her redundancy appeal, calculating entitlement using an average weekly wage of €423.36; the decision does not state a final redundancy payment amount. The employer had conceded her claims.
