The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) concluded its investigation into Mark J. Savage’s Equal Status complaint against Musgrave Operating Partners Limited Trading As Supervalu after Savage did not attend the hearing. The merits were not decided. The decision was dated 11 October 2022. Savage’s complaint was made under section 21 of the Equal Status Act 2000. The WRC said he had been sent the hearing arrangements and the adjudicator was satisfied he had been notified. The respondent attended and was prepared to present a defence. The adjudicator said Savage’s failure to attend was unreasonable and that no evidence supporting the discrimination allegations was given at the hearing, then found against him.
