The Workplace Relations Commission found that George-Calin Breban had not established disability discrimination by Bistrovia Limited t/a Day Today News. A separate victimisation complaint was withdrawn during the hearing. The decision was dated 30 November 2022. Breban said the shop refused him service because he was exempt from wearing a mask on disability grounds. The WRC accepted that he had a disability but found the refusal of service was attributable to his behaviour on 27 May 2021, and that the shop was not aware of the nature of his disability on 28 May and 7 June. It concluded that he had not established a prima facie case of discrimination.
