WRC recommends hospital keep worker on weekday shift pattern

The WRC recommended that a hospital keep a worker on her established weekday shift pattern, while allowing her to cover some weekends when needed. The recommendation was dated 15 July 2022. The worker disputed being required to work five days over seven, including weekends, to be regularised as a supervisor. The hospital said the offered appointment required that roster. The adjudication officer noted that the worker had kept her regular pattern for more than four years and had genuine reasons for not taking regular weekend shifts.
