The Workplace Relations Commission found a complaint by Krzysztof Kustra against Wentworth Logistics Limited well founded and awarded him €2,564 compensation. The decision was dated 24 November 2022. Kustra said he had never received a written statement of his employment terms. The company said new employees were given comprehensive documents, but its manager could not produce a signed statement or give sworn evidence that Kustra had received one. The adjudication officer found in Kustra’s favour and said the company had also breached its duty to keep a copy of the statement during employment and for one year afterwards. The law allows compensation of up to four weeks’ pay for this breach.
