WRC finds Connie Gerety’s penalisation complaint not well founded

The Workplace Relations Commission found Connie Gerety’s penalisation complaint against North Leinster Citizens Information Service not well founded. The decision was dated 28 July 2022. Gerety, a manager with the Citizen Information Service, said her line manager continued to penalise her after she made a bullying complaint. The adjudication officer found no causal link between her complaint and the workplace disputes, which had competing explanations. A separate pair of duplicate complaints about the frequency of salary payments was left undecided while a collective process addressing the same facts proceeds before the Labour Court; the WRC suspended its decision pending that court’s recommendation.
