The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) directed Mark McCann McCann(Auditors & Financial Advisors) to pay Brendan W Downey €2,000 after finding Downey had not received a statement of employment terms. The decision was dated 11 October 2022. Two related complaints under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act 1994 were not well founded. Downey said he had not been told when his employer joined the Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme, but accepted this did not materially affect his take-home pay or role. The WRC also found the 2018 core-details requirement did not apply because his employment began before that requirement took effect.
