WRC dismisses Finnstown Castle Hotel wage complaint after settlement

The WRC dismissed Tara Ikoub’s wage complaint against Finnstown Castle Hotel as misconceived, after the parties reached an agreement over unpaid work on a shift. The decision was dated 12 July 2022. Ikoub said she had been left short of pay for hours worked. The hotel said the short payment was an oversight and would be rectified. It later told the WRC that a signed settlement agreement had been reached relating to work on 19 June 2021. The decision says the complainant had not formally withdrawn the complaint, and the adjudication officer dismissed it because the matter had been resolved between the parties. Both parties failed to attend the hearing.
