The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Aimee O'Toole’s complaints of discrimination, harassment and victimisation against Mr Price, finding no link between the treatment she described and her gender, sexual orientation or age. The decision, dated 7 November 2022, concerned O'Toole’s work as a sales assistant at the Coolock branch. She alleged adverse treatment after her manager learned of her relationship with a co-worker, including the handling of a grievance and a transfer request. The adjudicator found the heated exchange that preceded her resignation was not related to the protected grounds, and found no inference that her grievance or transfer request was treated differently for those reasons. The WRC also found there was no harassment within the meaning of the Employment Equality Acts, and no inference that the transfer request was handled differently because O'Toole had made a discrimination complaint. A separate complaint under working-time law was withdrawn at the start of the hearing.
