WRC rejects Gary O Neill’s redundancy complaints against R&P Credit

The Workplace Relations Commission found Gary O Neill’s complaints against R&P Credit not well founded in a decision dated 8 June 2022. One complaint alleged that his representative was not properly consulted during a collective redundancy; the other challenged his dismissal as unfair. The officer found there was no collective redundancy, so the consultation rules did not apply. The officer also found a genuine redundancy situation existed and that the company acted fairly and reasonably in selecting O Neill. The decision records both complaints as not well founded.
