WRC rules pension discrimination complaint against Eircom was outside time limit

The Workplace Relations Commission found Eamonn Winters’ pension discrimination complaint against Eircom Limited was statute barred in a decision dated 29 September 2021. The merits were not decided. Winters said pension increases for former employees fell behind increases for current staff from 1 July 2018. The WRC found he had not established a misrepresentation that could extend the time limit and concluded it had no jurisdiction to hear the complaint.
