WRC rejects van driver’s eight complaints as out of time

The WRC found that a van driver’s eight complaints against a delivery company were brought outside the time limits and that it had no jurisdiction to inquire into them. The decision was dated 15 July 2022; the merits were not decided. The driver’s employment transferred to a new employer on 8 June 2020, and he referred the complaints to the WRC on 18 April 2021. He said he feared losing his job if he complained, but the adjudicator found that this did not explain the delay after the transfer. The company did not attend the hearing.
