WRC rejects accountant’s annual leave complaint after finding he received more than his statutory entitlement

The Workplace Relations Commission found Junaid Altaf’s annual leave complaint against Kda Accountant not well founded. The decision, dated 15 June 2022, says Altaf received 19 paid days of leave, more than his statutory entitlement of 13.3 days for the period considered. Altaf claimed he was owed four accrued days after his employment ended. He argued that four days in December should not count as leave because he was on paid notice. The respondent said those days were scheduled leave for all staff and that Altaf had been paid for 19 days.
