WRC finds John Martin’s redundancy payment complaint was not well founded

The WRC found John Martin’s redundancy payment complaint against PJ Personnel Limited was not well founded. The decision, dated 19 January 2022, said Martin’s former representatives’ failure to progress the complaint did not establish reasonable cause to extend the time limit; the merits were not decided. Martin said his employment had ended by redundancy and that he was entitled to statutory redundancy pay. PJ Personnel Limited denied that redundancy caused the termination and said it had offered him alternative work.
