WRC finds John O Sullivan entitled to statutory redundancy payment

The Workplace Relations Commission found John O Sullivan was dismissed by reason of redundancy and entitled to a statutory redundancy payment from Michael Wilson t/a Mick and Jimmy’s Restaurant. The decision was dated 19 July 2021. O Sullivan worked as a sous chef until the restaurant closed on 15 March 2020. The entitlement was based on employment beginning on 11 June 2015 and gross weekly pay of €673, subject to insurable employment.
